“Who can participate in the promotion?”
Participation is open to any natural person residing in the United Kingdom who is 18 years of age or older and who has purchased a Char-Broil TRU-Infrared™ grill with a minimum value of £399 during the promotional period from 28 April to 10 June 2025. Employees of Char-Broil, affiliated companies, their relatives, and all persons involved in the promotion are excluded from participation.

“How long can I participate in the promotion?”
The promotional period (purchase period) begins on 28/04/2025 and ends on 10/06/2025. The deadline for participation is 25/06/2025. Accessories are available only while supplies last. Participation is only possible via: www.charbroil.co.uk/100-pounds-promo starting from 28/04/2025.

“How can I take part?”
To participate, you need to purchase a Char-Broil TRU-Infrared™ grill with a minimum value of £399. The purchase must be documented with a valid receipt. Between 28/04/2025 and 10/06/2025, any eligible person can participate by registering on the promotion page www.charbroil.co.uk/100-pounds-promo and uploading a photo or scan of the original, clearly legible receipt (including purchase date, time, and proof of the promotional grill).

“What accessory options are available?”
You can find them under Accessories at: www.charbroil.co.uk/100-pounds-promo.
The selection depends on the available accessory products in stock at the time of your choice in the reward shop. Each accessory can only be added to the cart once. Char-Broil does not guarantee the availability of any particular product.

“How does the participation process work?”
Participants must visit www.charbroil.co.uk/100-pounds-promo (also accessible via the reward promotion link on www.charbroil.co.uk).
The process is as follows:

Enter contact details: email address, full name, and address in the United Kingdom
Enter the purchase date and upload the receipt

Once the form is fully completed, click “UPLOAD FILES” and then “SUBMIT”
You’ll receive a confirmation email. Participation is confirmed by clicking a link in the email
After successful confirmation, you’ll receive another email confirming your participation and that your submission is being reviewed
Within 1–3 business days, your registration and receipt will be reviewed. Incomplete forms will not be considered
If all requirements are met, you’ll receive another email with a link to the reward shop and a 22-character promo code
After clicking the link, you can select accessories from the shop worth up to £100 in total (no cash payout for unused value)

“How do I upload the receipt?”
You’ll need a receipt that clearly shows the purchase of a Char-Broil TRU-Infrared™ grill worth £399 or more, the store, and the purchase date. Upload a scan or photo of the receipt (accepted formats: .jpg, .pdf, .png; max file size: 64MB).
Click the “UPLOAD FILES” button, choose your image or scan from your device, and complete the form.

“I want to submit my order. Where is my shopping cart?”
The cart icon is located at the top right corner of the page. Clicking it will open your cart, where you can adjust your accessory selection and complete your order (within the £100 limit).

If you don’t see the cart:

On a desktop, set your zoom level to 100% and scroll to the top right corner
On a mobile or tablet, turn the device vertically (portrait mode)

“Can I participate by post?”
No, participation by post, phone, or any other means is not allowed.

“Can I participate more than once?”

CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION

Promotion Period: April 28, 2025 to June 10, 2025

Participation period: April 28 (0:00 a.m.) to June 10 (11:59 p.m.) 2025

1 . Organizer

Char-Broil Europe GmbH, Gasstraße 4c, D-22761 Hamburg, Germany, hereinafter referred to as "Char-Broil", is the organiser of the reward campaign.

2 . Conditions of participation

Participation is limited to one participation per household. Eligible to participate are natural persons who are resident in United Kingdom, who have reached the age of 18 and who have purchased a Char-Broil TRU-Infrared™ Grill with a value of £399 or more. In case of doubt, the participant must prove his/her age and residence at the request of Char-Broil.

Participation in the reward campaign takes place exclusively online via the promo page: www.charbroil.co.uk/100-pounds-promo. Participants can register online for the reward campaign here and must upload their receipt or invoice as proof of purchase of a Char-Broil TRU-Infrared™ grill with a value of £399 or more. The TRU-Infrared™ Grill must have been purchased during the promotional period between April 28, 2025 to June 10, 2025. The deadline for entries is June 10 (11:59 p.m.) 2025. Registration at a later date is no longer possible.

Participation by post is not possible. Participation via competition associations or automated services is excluded.

The participant is responsible for the accuracy, completeness and usability of the data provided by him/her: false information is solely at his/her expense. Char-Broil does not accept any liability in this respect either, and may, if the information is not true, exclude the person in question from participating in the reward campaign. Furthermore, Char-Broil is not obliged to request the correct data of a participant or to determine it itself. Char-Broil assumes no liability in this respect.

Employees of Char-Broil, as well as employees of affiliated companies and the respective family members and the permanent cohabitants of the aforementioned employees in a living or residential community are excluded from participation.

3 . Procedure of participation

3.1. Participants must have purchased a Char-Broil TRU-Infrared™ Grill from a value of £399 during the aforementioned campaign period (28.04.-10.06.2025) and must be able to prove the purchase with proof of purchase (invoice, proof of purchase with date of purchase).

3.2. Entrants must visit the website www.charbroil.co.uk/100-pounds-promo (also accessible via the link to the Rewards Promotion page on page www.charbroil.co.uk).  The procedure for the participants is as follows:

Access the participation mask by clicking on "+ Here is the link to the contact form for uploading the purchase receipt"

Enter the date of the purchase receipt and upload the purchase receipt image

Selection in drop-down menus,

which grill was purchased,

whether they ordered online or bought in brick-and-mortar stores, and

Zip code of the retailer named on the proof of purchase

Free text entry, from which retailer the purchase was made.

Enter your e-mail address, name and residential address in United Kingdom.

Agree to the terms and conditions of participation and the privacy policy by ticking the checkbox.

Once the contact form for uploading the proof of purchase is fully completed, the participant must click the 'UPLOAD FILES' button and then the 'SUBMIT' button. Afterward, an email will be sent to confirm the participation and the provided data. Participation is confirmed by clicking on a confirmation link in the email. After successfully confirming the link, the participant will receive a confirmation of participation, referencing the verification of the submitted data.

Within the next 1-3 business days, the registration and proof of purchase will be reviewed. Incomplete forms will not be considered. If all the requirements for participation in the reward promotion are met, the participant will receive another email at the registered email address, which contains a link to the reward shop and a 12-digit promo code.

After clicking the link in the email, the participant can select items from a list of selected accessory products in the reward shop, with a total value of up to £100 (any remaining balance will not be refunded).

By clicking on the upper left corner of the respective accessory item, accessories with a total value of up to £100 can be added to the shopping cart (while stocks last). The yellow shopping cart box is located at the bottom of the page. It is important to ensure that the total price of the shopping cart does not exceed the maximum value of £100.

Once the accessory selection has been made, the participant can proceed with the checkout process by clicking 'Add to Cart'. The checkout process will continue, and the 12-digit promo code can be entered in the 'Promo Code' field. A discount of £100 will be applied, and shipping costs will be waived.

In the next steps, the participant will enter their contact details and the shipping address. A confirmation email will be sent with the accessory selection. Within the next 3-5 business days (from the order receipt), the grill accessories will be shipped via POINTBID to the shipping address.

3.3. Participation in the Reward Promotion does not give rise to any financial or other claims of the Participant against Char-Broil.

3.4. Participation in the Reward Campaign is free of charge, apart from the product purchase price and the transmission costs incurred according to the tariff selected by the Campaign Participant from his Internet provider (usage fee).

3.5. Participation by submitting the participation form on the above-mentioned website is possible until 10.06.2025 at 11:59 p.m. Participation forms received later will no longer be considered.

4 . Rewards

Subject to verification of proof of purchase, participants will receive a message with a personal link to a reward shop at their registered email address.

There, each verified participant can put together Char-Broil accessories worth a maximum of £100 in total. The accessories and corresponding values are listed on www.charbroil.co.uk/100-pounds-promo The accessory products in stock in the reward shop on the day of selection are decisive for the choice. The individual accessories can be selected while stocks last. Each accessory can only be added to the cart once. Char-Broil do not guarantee the availability of the selected products. Any remaining amounts will not be paid out.

The delivery of the rewards to the participants is subject to availability. Char-Broil reserves the right to make changes to the equipment and type of rewards. The participant is not entitled to a specific reward. A payment of the accessories in cash, in other tangible assets, their exchange, return or transfer to other persons is excluded. The participants are not entitled to claim guarantee benefits for the respective premium from Char-Broil. The accessories are only handed in for private use. A participant can dispense with the selection of accessories.

The participant's reward order is made exclusively online in the way described here. The rewards will be shipped free of charge to the shipping address. Furthermore, the shipment is only made to an address in United Kingdom.

If it is not possible to send the accessories for reasons, for which the participant is responsible, as she/he cannot be reached by post, telephone or email, the claim will expire 6 weeks after the end of the promotion period on July 22, 2025 at 11:59 pm.

5 . Exclusion from the reward campaign

In order to participate in the reward campaign, it is essential that all personal information is true. Char-Broil is entitled to exclude individual persons from participation if there are legitimate reasons, such as violation of the conditions of participation, manipulation, etc. Participation in the name of a third party, in particular by lottery agencies, is not permitted. Claims are not transferable to third parties. Char-Broil reserves the right to reclaim premiums retrospectively in the aforementioned cases.

6 . Changes to the Terms and Conditions and Termination of the Promotion

Char-Broil reserves the right to modify or discontinue the reward promotion in the event of unforeseen circumstances. Char-Broil also reserves the right to change the terms and conditions of participation at any time with effect for the future, in particular in order to adapt them to changed legal and/or technical conditions in the necessary cases. The current version of the applicable terms and conditions of participation can be accessed online at www.charbroil.co.uk/100-pounds-promo. 

Char-Broil is entitled to discontinue, cancel or suspend the reward promotion if 

-          an attempted abuse through manipulation is detected, proper implementation is no longer ensured, in particular in the event of hardware or software failure, program errors, computer viruses or unauthorized interventions by third parties as well as mechanical, technical or legal problems.

-          such modification/termination is caused by the conduct of a participant, Char-Broil is entitled to demand compensation from this person for the damage incurred.

7 . Limitations

7.1. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions of Participation will limit or exclude Char-Broil’s liability for (i) death or personal injury caused by negligence; (ii) fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or (iii) any other matter in respect of which it would be unlawful to limit or exclude liability.

7.2. The Reward Promotion may contain links to third party web sites, services or products that are not owned or controlled by Char-Broil. Char-Broil has no control over, and assumes no responsibility for, the content of any third-party web sites, services or products. Char-Broil will not be liable for any loss or damage that may arise from the participant’s use of them.  

7.3. 

(a) Char-Broil, their employees and vicarious agents and/or affiliated companies are not liable for any losses or damages: (i) that are not foreseeable at the time the participant enters into the Reward Promotion; (ii) resulting from technical malfunctions and defects of the reward program, including (but not limited to) the impairment of the availability of the premium promotion websites (iii) resulting from force majeure events beyond their control; and (iv) any loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption or loss of business opportunity.

(b) Char-Broil’s total liability to participant for any loss or damage arising out of or in connection with these terms and conditions of participation, whether in contract, tort (including negligence) or otherwise, shall be limited to £100.

7.4. Char-Broil will use reasonable endeavours to ensure the reliability and functionality of the Reward Promotion websites. Furthermore, Char-Broil does not guarantee that the Reward Promotion Internet pages on the respective participant computer are properly functional.

8 . Other

Should individual provisions of these Terms and Conditions of Participation be invalid or should there be a loophole, this shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions. A clause that may be invalid or incomplete is replaced by an economically comparable provision. The Promotion will be governed by English law and entrants submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.    

9 . Privacy policy

9.1. Data Collection by Participating in the Reward Promotion

The legal basis for the processing of personal data is Art. 6 (1) (a) UK GDPR, provided that you have consented to the processing of the data, or if the processing is necessary for the performance of a contract (Art. 6 (1) (b) UK GDPR) or for the protection of Char-Broil's legitimate interests (Art. 6 (1) (f) UK GDPR), provided that in the latter case your interests or fundamental rights and freedoms do not prevail.

If you participate in the Reward Promotion by registering in accordance with the Terms and Conditions, the following personal data will be collected, stored, processed and used (collectively "Participant Data"):

First and last name, postal address / residence (street, house number, country, zip code, place of residence), e-mail address, IP address of the participant as well as the time of registration and the uploaded image of the proof of purchase. In addition, the selection of drop-down menus is saved:

the name of the grill purchased,

the retail partner from whom the grill was purchased and their zip code

Selection of whether purchases were made online or stationary

Date of proof of purchase

Selected shopping cart (selection of selected accessories)

9.2. Use of Participant Data in the Context of the Reward Promotion

All participant data is stored electronically. The collection, storage and processing of participant data is carried out by Char-Broil, which are jointly "controllers" within the meaning of Article 4 (7) UK GDPR.

Char-Broil uses the personal data processed in the context of the promotion exclusively for the purpose of carrying out and processing the reward campaign.

There will be no further use of the participant data by Char-Broil or third parties.

Our participant data will be treated confidentially, used exclusively for the proper implementation of the reward campaign and deleted as soon as it is no longer necessary to achieve this purpose. Insofar as the participant data is subject to the retention obligations under tax and commercial law, they will be stored for the duration of the retention obligations of ten years, regardless of the above regulation, and then deleted, unless you have consented to further storage or the further processing of the data is necessary for the assertion, exercise or defence of legal claims. The legal basis for the processing of personal data for the purpose of fulfilling the statutory archiving and retention obligations is Art. 6 (1) (c) GDPR.

9.3. Right to information

Among other things, you have the right to information about the use of your participant data by Char-Broil. Upon request, you will be provided with complete and free information at any time about the stored data, insofar as it concerns you. For this purpose, an informal e-mail to consumersupport@charbroil.eu. However, we may have to ask you to identify yourself as the person entitled to receive information.

9.4. Right of withdrawal

You can revoke your consent to the use and storage of your participant data based on Article 6 (1) (a) UK GDPR at any time without giving reasons (Article 7 (3) UK GDPR). This applies in particular regarding the consent to receive the newsletter.

In the event of a revocation, your participant data will be deleted immediately. The revocation and deletion of your participant data will be confirmed to you by e-mail on request.

If the revocation takes place before the bonus campaign has been carried out in full, further participation in the reward campaign and the sending of the rewards is excluded.

9.5. Other rights in relation to personal data

In addition to the rights of information and revocation listed above (Article 15 UK GDPR, Article 7 (3) UK GDPR), you have the right to request the correction, transfer, restriction of processing, blocking or deletion of your personal data (Articles 16, 17, 18, 20 UK GDPR). All you need to do is send an informal e-mail to consumersupport@charbroil.eu.

9.6. Right of appeal

If you believe that the processing of your personal data violates applicable data protection regulations or that your rights under data protection law have been violated in any other way, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority (pursuant to Art. 77 UK GDPR).
