Smoking Accessories for Grills from Char-Broil

Humans have been smoking food for several hundred years. Our ancestors originally used smokehouses, mainly with the purpose of preserving food for a longer period. Back then, the taste wasn’t the main focus – but that’s not the case anymore. You can, of course, still use common smoking methods to preserve your food. But, with the right smoking accessories, you can also achieve outstanding smoked aromas for you and your guests!

Can I smoke food on every grill?

To serve up the perfect experience for your taste buds, it’s best to use one of our smokers. That said, you can also conjure up delicious meals with wonderful aromas on virtually any other gas grill, charcoal grill or smoker from Char-Broil. The most important thing is to ensure that your barbecue has a lid so that it can act as a closed smoking chamber.

With the Char-Broil Smoker Boxes (available in either cast iron or stainless steel), you can create flavours like never before on your cooking grate. When doing so, there are a couple of things that you need to bear in mind. Unlike smoking dust, it is the heat of the grill that causes wood chips to smoke. To produce a large amount of smoke, we recommend that you soak the chips in water before using them. You should then place the smoker box with the moistened chips on the burner covers under the grate. If this is not possible, that’s no problem at all: simply place the smoker box on the grate. If you use this position, you should not soak the chips in water beforehand.

However you choose to smoke your food, be it with a smoker, gas grill, electric grill or charcoal grill from Char-Broil, these handy tips will enable you to successfully pursue your smoking passion.
