Can the bbq be built without legs and side shelves so it can be built in to an outdoor kitchen?
Hi Martynf1,
the side shelves should not be removed, as they also serve to stabilise the barbecue. We also do not recommend installing the barbecue in an outdoor kitchen, as the minimum distance to walls, for example, cannot be maintained.

What width is the unit without the side shelves attached?

the Convective 410 B is approx. 65 cm wide without side shelves. However, the side shelves should not be removed for stability reasons.

Just assembled. What is the purpose of the thin metal rod attached to the chain on the left side? Should it be attached?
Dear Mike,
this is a match holder. If the ignition doesn't work you can light your BBQ with a match. And this holder will keep you from burning your skin. It is also explained in the instruction manual.

Where do I find the serial number for the grill please. The box it came in has already gone and I need it to register.
The serial number is located in different places on the grill, depending on the model. It is often in the grill, on the door, above the doors or on the base plate. On the All-Star, the serial number is under the left side shelf, on the Digital Smoker it is on the back. The serial number (often a letter followed by 15 digits) is always on the silver sticker with the model number. The serial number is not on the packaging with which the grill is delivered.

Would you recommend using propane or butane for this model of gas bbq?
Dear Riffy,
Patio gas can be either propane or butane and supplied in a patio gas bottle or patio gas cylinders. Both work equally as well, although propane is preferred in cold weather.

Thanks so much for the previous answer. I wont be removing the shelves but the lower part of the bbq will be surrounded by a low wall on both sides. Is the 65cm measurement taken from the lid or from the edge of the wheel to the leg? Or which is widest?
