Wild hot dog with chipotle cream, cheddar cheese and apple dill salsa.


  • 4 wild boar sausages
  • 4 sweet milk rolls
  • 160 gr. 160 g cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1-2 medium-sized white onions

for the chipotle cream:

  • 40ml UHT milk, 3.5% fat
  • 160ml vegetable oil
  • sea salt
  • brown sugar
  • 1 juice of 1 lime
  • chipotle chillies to taste

  • 1 Granny Smith apple
  • a little fresh dill
  • 1 dash of apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tbsp olive oil, cold pressed
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 pinch of brown suger


Step 1 of 7
Start by preheating the grill. Slice the onion in half.
Grill the sausages, place the onion halves with the cut side down onto the grill, then slice open the roll.
Combine all of the ingredients for the chipotle cream except for the oil in a mixing bowl. While stirring, drizzle the oil into the mixture to create a creamy mayonnaise. Then mince the chipotle chillies and add them to the mayonnaise.
Mince the apple for the salsa, then toss it with a dash of vinegar and oil, as well as a pinch each of salt and sugar, to marinate. Then remove the dill leaves from the stems and add them as well.
Smear the open halves of the roll with the chipotle cream, arrange the grilled sausages on top and sprinkle with cheddar cheese. Coarsely chop the onion and add it to the roll.
Finish with the apple dill salsa on top.
