Rated 5 out of 5 by benr from Superb all-round grill I’ve been using the Char-Broil Essential 4G all summer and absolutely love it. It heats up really quickly and cooks everything evenly - the TRU-Infrared system actually does make a difference because the food stays nice and juicy rather than drying out like on some older gas barbecues I’ve had. The side burner has been a game changer for me - I’ve used it loads for sauces and sides while grilling, and it’s so handy not having to keep running back inside to the kitchen. The main grill has plenty of space too, enough to cook for a big group without feeling cramped. It feels solid and well-built, the temperature controls are smooth, and it’s easy to move around the patio when I need to. Cleaning is pretty straightforward as well, especially compared to my old charcoal BBQ. Overall, I’d definitely recommend it to anyone who likes to cook outside regularly. It’s been one of my best summer buys this year!

It’s the perfect gas grill for getting that amazing sear on steaks and burgers — seriously impressive heat and control. What really makes it stand out, though, is the added charcoal basket. When you’re craving that rich, smoky, authentic BBQ flavour, just switch it up and fire the charcoal — best of both worlds! Easy to use, solid build, and incredibly versatile — a proper all-rounder for any backyard cook-up.

The heat that this thing holds is outstanding, and the grill bars also. Easy to heat up and even easier to strip down and clean. Char-Broil has absolutely blown me away with this.
