Get Your Versa-Tile® Griddle Grill Ready: Cleaning and Seasoning
You’ve successfully assembled your new Versa-Tile® Grill and are excited for your first griddle, grill, or pizza party? You’re nearly there – promise! Follow the steps below for the initial cleaning and the all-important seasoning of your grill plate before your first cook.
Important: Before using or seasoning the Versa-Tile® for the first time, you must clean the griddle surface. Plan enough time for this process, as cleaning and seasoning should be done consecutively.
1. Cleaning the Griddle
Before cooking any food on your Versa-Tile®, wipe down the surface and edges of the griddle plate using warm soapy water. Rinse thoroughly with clean water to remove any production residues – this ensures no unwanted substances get into your food.
2. Seasoning the Griddle
Seasoning helps to create a non-stick surface and protects your griddle. It also makes future cleaning easier.

Spread 2-3 tablespoons of cooking oil evenly across the griddle surface and rub it in with a paper towel.Seasoning the Pizza Side of the Griddle-Tile
Once the griddle-tile has cooled down, flip it to the other side, so that the small dimples ar facing upwards.Oiling Before Storage and Use
Before storing or using again, apply a light coating of oil to both sides of the griddle and the tile.If your griddle surface has turned evenly dark – congratulations! Your Versa-Tile® is now ready for action. Enjoy cooking on a perfectly prepped surface.
